About Collin

Collin Hendley is a bold, dynamic, and enigmatic actor based in NYC. His work spans across multiple theatrical disciplines, with the distinct purpose of more deeply uncovering what it means to be human. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with degrees in Acting and Entertainment and Media, and he specializes in Acting, Playwriting, and Composition for Musical Theatre. He derives his joy as an artist from the beauty found in interpersonal collaboration, and his colleagues often remark on how his infectious energy is a one of a kind asset in any rehearsal room.

Brighter Than the Sun

Collin is best known for his original musical (Book, Music, & Lyrics), Brighter Than the Sun, which had a limited Off-Broadway engagement in January of 2024 in association with Chain Theater. His piece centered on his relationship with his late grandmother Bobbie, and their respective identities and relationships to their upbringings in South Georgia.

“Hendley is solid in his performance as the narrator of his and his grandmother’s story. His presentation commands attention without demand, smoothly and effortlessly focussing on the words being spoken.” -Scotty Bennett (TheatreScene)
